Converting from {Simple} to <<Robust Options>>

Postby Roy Lasris » Thu Jan 01, 1970 12:00 am

This came from Glenn in Tampa:
I want to update my forms and move from the “{simple options}’s that I have been using to robust <<*Options*>>. I want to be able to add prompts and an Ask Table and your literature says I need the robust options for that. It is correct?
Any tricks or shortcuts that will avoid having to do it manually doing it?

Yes, you must use robust <<*Options*>> to add prompts. And if you want to be able to create an AskTable automatically, you will also need to use <<*Options*>> in your documents.

Pathagoras can automate the conversion from {simple} to <<*Options*>>. Click the Pathagoras Features dropdown | Wizards & Assistants | Conversion Tools.

One additional tip. You can elevate (at least) the ‘Conversion’ button in the Pathagoras features dropdown to Word's Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). That will save you two clicks each time you want to convert the {simple options} in a document.

So expose that Conversion button in the dropdown and right click on it. Select ‘Add to QAT’. (When you are done with converting your documents, you can remove the button from the QAT.)
